is it possible to compare the local machine registry with an off line saved copy (like the ones made by ERUNT) ?

Hello,

Yes, you can load .Reg files (such as those saved by RegEdit) or a local (or remote) machine registry in either pane.

Our trial is fully featured. Please feel free to test this and make sure it works as you expect:

Hello,

It looks like ERUNT may output in a binary format. This would not be readable by our Registry Compare. You would need to output a plain text .reg file for import into the Registry Compare.

The binary file can be scanned in our Folder Compare, and determined if it is different compared to a backup using a binary or CRC scan, but BC3 is not able to view its contents (without performing an external conversion of some sort to translate it to plain text.)
