  • Edit disabled when one side fails to load

If a text compare session is launched from the command line, and the file on one side of the compare does not exist, the side that does exist is locked and cannot be edited.

There are times that I launch compares programatically and want to view each session and perform updates even if one of the files turns out to be an orphan. Could you please enable editing on the successfully loaded side of a compare even if the other side fails to load? Thanks.

Clearing the invalid filename and reloading should work fine. If one of the files you're comparing is invalid, then the comparison is undefined. BC3 edits the comparison, not just the file, which is why editing is disabled in this case.

      Thanks, Erik.

      Works like a charm.
