  • Comparing identical files

    When comparing files that are identical, but with different dates, the resulting compare window shows a single line that makes it confusing as to whether it is a difference or not. BC2 would not show any lines if the files are the same.

    BC3 supports in-pane editing. The reason we show a single line in an empty file is for you to start editing. If there is a difference between the files, you will see a red or blue background.

      Also, if you don't want to see the cross-hatch, you can disable it:

      Ctrl+Shift+T for Tweaks
      Under the Text Editors tab, disable croasshatching
      BC v4.0.7 build 19761
      ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
