Can Alignment be Turned Off?

I have two files each with 300 rows and 300 columns of data.

I know that the rows match up and just want to see differences in the column data.

Is there some way to turn off BC3's attempts at aligning the rows?

In your session settings alignment tab, you could try setting the skew tolerance value to 1.

Setting the skew tolerance value to 1 has fixed the problem.
Is there some way to make this the default whenever I start the software.

Is setting the skew tolerance to 1 (and making it a default) something available in the Standard version or only in the Pro?

Hello,

This is available in both Std and Pro.

In the Session Settings dialog, in the bottom Left there is a dropdown box that can be used for this session, or change to "Also Update Defaults".

You can also change the defaults on the Home screen, in the Edit session defaults folder. Select the proper default (Text Compare), then change the default values.
