Compare starting from end of file?

I have a status reports that prepends data to it - i.e. newest data is at start of the file. I assume that BC comparison starts from the start of the files and tries to detect similarities. For me, the comparison is not doing a good job.

Now in my case I this the comparison would work better if it could start from the end of the files and work backwards to find similarities.

Is this possible - or considered as a future feature?

Hi Liam,

Use the Session->Session Settings command to open the Session Settings dialog. On the "Alignment" tab select "Alternate Alignment", and if you want to make it the default change the "Use for this view only" combobox at the bottom to "Also update session defaults".

The alternate alignment starts from both ends simultaneously.

That was a good help. That change along with the Align With... (F7) has done the trick.
