text scrolling when an edit is made

I am trying to edit text in the bottom window where the left line and the right line are aligned vertically. Whenever I make an edit, the text scrolls in the edit window, and I visually lose my place. Is there a way to prevent this scrolling?

Thanks for writing in. I'll look into this scrolling behavior to see if we can improve in this area. There is not a way to prevent the scrolling at this time, so you would need to right click and toggle off "Show As Aligned" temporarily while making the edit, then re-enable it.
