  • Comparing only the first party of a line

i am working on a translation project with Beyond and its very helpful. but sometimes there comes a huge update, that means that new lines gets added.

Is it possible that beyond only compares the ids of the lines?

    a line looks like this

    3510000014 지팡이 Staff_2H

i am translating the second and the third part. the id is what i want to check.
is it possible that beyond only shows the lines where the ids doesnt match?
because atm he shows me every line because of the difference of the second and third part.

Yes, if you define a grammar element to match only the ID, and then mark "Everything Else" as unimportant (by unchecking it in the Importance tab in the Session Settings of the Text Compare session).

Here's a guide for defining the grammar element:
Beyond Compare is a multi-platform utility that combines directory compare and file compare functions in one package. Use it to manage source code, keep directories in sync, compare program output, etc.

The regular expression you are looking for may be, type Basic:

Remember to enable "Ignore Unimportant Differences" to hide all blue differences as black. Once you have found the lines you are looking for, you can toggle it.
