Feature request: add the copy Left/right button at bottom of selection area

currently when select lines of text at one side, the green copy left/right button will be shown align to first line of the selections. if I selected lots of lines, I have to scroll up a long way to get that button. if we can have that button at the last line of the selection, that will be very useful...

Thanks for the suggestion, Shen. This is an item on our Customer Wishlist, and I'll add your notes to that entry. Our wishlist is not currently scheduled development, but a place our developers go to for ideas for future features and enhancements. In the meantime, you can use the Text Compare's Tools menu -> Customize Commands, to add the Copy to Other side to the toolbar or with a customized hotkey.

Another possibility would be to have the copy arrow on the topmost visible line of the selection, rather than the top or bottom of the selction (either one of which can scroll out of visibility).

Was giving this some more thought, and what would also be helpful, especially if the current selection extends outside the file area that is currently visible, would be an indication of the selection size in the thumbnail view (not sure what you usually call it) off to the left - possibly a green background (or whatever the current selection coloring is) on the selected area on one or bost sides of the bar. Especially for people that are used to seeing the copy arrow at the top of the selection, this would be a visible reminder that the selection extends beyond the visible area.
