  • HTML to TEXT comparing text contents

I have the HTML-to-Text converter which does a nice job, except at the bottom it puts a message, "Generated from <full path/filename>"

and of course that doesn't match, because I'm comparing two different files, so when I do a folder compare it still says all my *.htm files are different, even though they are the same, the only difference is that little message at the bottom.

Is there a way I can get Beyond Compare to ignore that little message at the bottom, or get the HTML-to-Text converter to not create that little message at the bottom?

    Hello,

For some of BC3's additional file formats, we use external programs to perform the conversion. I do not think HTML2Text supports additional command line options, but we can ignore the text by defining a grammar:
Beyond Compare is a multi-platform utility that combines directory compare and file compare functions in one package. Use it to manage source code, keep directories in sync, compare program output, etc.

One example would be a Basic, Regular Expression:
    Code:
    ^Generated from \w:\\.*
