Search on specified side in text compare?

In a text compare session, is there a way to search for text on a specified side, i.e., right-only or left-only? That would be helpful in some manual alignment situations.

Yes, in the Text Compare initiate a Find (Ctrl+F), and in the Find panel click the dropdown button on the far right side to expand for additional controls. This includes a Sides dropdown.

That dropdown button (tooltip "Show More") doesn't work. It briefly adds a blank panel below the Find panel, then that panel disappears in about 1/2 second.
