You seem to be running into a few issues all centered around your Creative Zen. As an older device, it may be having trouble with them method we used for MTP. Are there any updates available for it? If you reboot your machine, do you see better results?

All centred around your program, actually. I have none of these issues with the four other programs I use with the Creative ZEN.
