  • BC2 Script Not Working in BC4

    I am trying to use the scripts I use for automated backup via BC2 with BC4 on WS 2012. They do not run, because they are calling a folder sync session. I changed them to run a Folder Compare session on the same directories, and they will only do a compare and no files are copied, as they are using BC2. Here is the script I use with BC2 and the result.

    The .bat file:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Beyond Compare 2\BC2.exe" "@C:\scripts\BC2_15.txt"

    the BC2_15.txt file content:

    load "BC2_15"
    sync update:left->right

    The result:
    10/1/2012 5:11:19 PM Load Comparison: <->
    10/1/2012 5:11:19 PM >> load "BC2-15"
    10/1/2012 5:11:19 PM Load Comparison: Y:\ImageStorage\Cases\15 <-> E:\ImageStorage\Cases\15
    10/1/2012 5:15:34 PM >> sync update:left -> right
    10/1/2012 5:21:11 PM Script completed in 384.26 seconds

    If I run the same script, (saved session adjusted) calling it from BC4, this is the result:
    It opens some kind of debugger with the following script (the one I want to run from the batch file)

    load "Update: Appserver-02-15"
    update:left->right

    See attached screen prints

    What do I need to do to get this to run in BC4?

    Hello,

    Sorry, I don't see the screens attached to the thread. Could you post, or just let us know what the log shows as the error?

    I note the new script is missing the "sync" word you used in the bc2 script:
    log verbose "c:\bclog.txt"
    load "session name"
    sync update:left->right
