  • 20165 Copy to Folder can falsely report target already contains file.

    On Windows 7 Pro 64-bit:

    1 In Explorer, create a file C:\temp\BCdest\6.wma http://i.imgur.com/jBA03ed.png and delete it http://i.imgur.com/c1MlVlO.png
2 In BC, select a file named 6.wma located elsewhere, do Copy to Folder, target C:\temp\BCdest http://i.imgur.com/2vsFoPH.png , click Start

    Expected: copy executed
Observed: "The target folder already contains a file named "6.wma"." despite that Explorer shows it does not http://i.imgur.com/NJfS3xT.png

3 In a new BC window, Folder Compare session, view C:\temp\BCdest . BC shows folder is empty.
4 Repeat, but skip step 2. At 3, BC shows folder contains 6.wma.
5 Repeat, but after step 1, In a new BC window, Folder Compare session, view C:\temp\BCdest . BC shows folder contains 6.wma. Press F5. 6.wma disappears. Proceed with step 2. Result is as expected.

Thanks. Copy To Folder is the key to reproducing this as well as the external delete. We'll investigate. In the meantime, if you perform external actions outside of BC4 such as deleting files currently loading in BC, please issue a Refresh to get these changes within BC. This can be done on the whole folder, or select the target subfolder: right-click and Refresh selected.

I'm not "deleting files currently loading in BC". If you think I am, then please reread my report.
