  • Could I open file in read only mode?

I couild not find the read-only mode when using Beyond Compare 4.1.5.
If a file is opened under Compare, it is locked reported by file manager.
It would be very helpful if you could support this feature.
    Thanks.

    Hello,

If the file is Read-Only and you want to prevent editing, when you attempt to save we will have a prompt "This file is read-only, are you sure?" This would help prevent you from saving over a read-only file. You can also go to the Session menu -> Session Settings, and enable the Disable Editing option to lock down the current session and prevent any editing. This can also be done from the command line with /ro1 or /ro2, etc, documented in the Help file -> Command Line Reference for Read Only
